Mens Fitness & Strength

P.I.T. is offering a new program designed for men who have a desire to learn the proper way to train with weights or have been away from weight training for a while and want to get back into it. We take away the anxiety of “I would like to weight train but don’t know what to do”. We offer a small group environment with hands on training. You’ll learn what to do, as well as why you should do it. It’s educational as well as physical. So….if you were looking for the reason to start to get more physically active, increase your strength and learn how to change the shape of your body, here it is.

Who should attend: Men ages 18 to 100.

When: Mondays 7:15 PM and Wednesday 6:00 PM

Spring Power & Strength Training Session

P.I.T. Power & Strength will be offering a classes on how to lift for BOTH power and strength (there is a difference).  If you are a linemen and want to get stronger and have more power so you push the other teams around next year…..or if you’re a perimeter player that wants to put on more size and become a more powerful runner/tackler…..then you should attend these classes and learn the lifts, how to do them correctly, how to combine them correctly and the proper nutrition that goes along with all of this.  If you’re serious about making Shen the strongest, most powerful team in Sect. 2 then now is the time to start!  Seniors, if you want to join us to get bigger or prepare for college sports, you are welcome to join us as well.

Girls Basketball Speed/Agility/Strength

Speed/Agility/Strength

P.I.T. is offering a program for High School Girls Basketball players to improve their speed, agility, flexibility and strength.  Players will spend time working in small groups on specific drills that improve body movement and learn techniques and exercises that make them stronger and better athletes and basketball players.  We will challenge them both mentally and physically including introducing them to the concept of mental conditioning.  P.I.T. specializes in training high school and colleges athletes of all sports in both strength training and S&A.  We have worked with many of the Shen athletes, including Kevin Huerter, Mr. Basketball NYS, Brandon Fischer, Thomas Huerter, Luke Hicks, Carly Boland the Sect. 2 player of the year, Morgan O’Brien and Erika Ryan.  We have many D1 college athletes as well.  Our list of high school clients covers all levels from Class AA to Class D.

Athletes are personally trained each session…we don’t hand out sheets and say “Do this”.…we work with each athlete and guide them through every workout personally.

Who should attend:   All high school athletes

When:  2 sessions every week….Either Every Monday/Wednesday 5:15 to 6:15 or Tues/Thurs 5:15 to 6:15

Summer Power & Strength Training

 

 

 

P.I.T. is offering a program specifically for Shen Football players to improve their power and strength in the off-season. Players will spend time working in groups with the P.I.T. staff on specific exercises that will make them stronger and more powerful football players. We will challenge them both mentally and physically to work harder than any of their competition this off-season. Please keep in mind that a big part of success is how often you train (the right balance between training and rest). It is important athletes attend as many sessions as possible and that is why we are doing 3-a-week sessions. These sessions will take the players from Post-season, Off-season and into Pre-Season training.

If you are currently a 12th grader and want to train for a Spring sport or to get ready to play in college, we have a different program for you. Contact Tony Campana (365-3439) or Gary Blond (265-6060) directly.

Summer SAC Training 2017

P.I.T. Strength & Conditioning along with Sportsplex of Halfmoon

S-A-C Training

P.I.T. Strength is teaming up with the Sportsplex to offer a SAC course (Speed/Agility/Conditioning).  To avoid conflict with other commitments during the week, we will offer it Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Sportsplex.  We will be teaching athletes drills that emphasize proper form and movement (both upper and lower body), as well, we will teach them not only how to accelerate but also how to slow down and stop/change direction safely.  It’s the slowing down and directional changes where most lower joint injuries occur, therefore we feel it’s imperative to include this in any training.  This is an in-depth class that challenges the athletes through different stations that teach a specific skill set.  It is open for kids from all sports and both male and female athletes.  So, we teach them skills that make them quicker, more agile and better athletes as well as how to move in a way that helps reduce the chance of injuring a joint or soft tissue.

Athletes will be grouped by grades during drills.

Who should attend:   Any athlete in grades 4-12.

When:
Once a week- Each Sunday 6:30 – 7:30pm starting Sunday May 21st for 6 sessions
Twice a week- Each Sunday 6:30 – Wed 6:15
